on the way there and our first evening...

hello everyone!

As you can see from the last post, J'Burgh has arrived safely in Israel! It was quite the adventure getting here but it was tons of fun. We all met at the Pittsburgh airport for our flight to JFK on Wednesday afternoon (it seems like ages ago now) and had some fun along the way. From JFK, we found our gate, got some food and were soon in the air by 11pm. After 13 long hours (including the delay) we touched down in Tel Aviv!

Here are some pics of of our travels...

Once we arrived at the airport and got our luggage (the suitcases for the Children's village as well) we were off to Karmiel! We drove north for close to 2 hours and had a lovely dinner with out host families! It was a great time to relax and start to get to know each other! After dinner, a short movie on the Partnership 2000 region and a round of "speed dating" with the Americans and Israeli's, we headed to our host family's homes for the evening.

Everyone enjoying dinner and conversation.

what an amazing first night...

So today, our first full day in Israel, is going to be a fun day filled with trust falls, leadership training and making challah!

Thanks for tuning in! Check back later for my updates!
