a little team building goes a long way.

For our first full day in Israel we woke up at our lovely host family's homes and headed over to Tuval. Not everyone was sure what to expect on this first day but we were definitely all in for an interesting and very educational day. The goal was to explore and learn about our group's dynamics and leadership skills.

After playing some fun warm up games to get everyone comfortable with one another (both the Pittsburgh and Israeli group) we were broken up into 2 smaller groups and the more intense portion began. Eventually, we found ourselves outside in the beautiful 70 degree Israeli December weather on a team building course. Both groups were then lead to complete a variety of tasks that would test not only them as a whole but also as an individual participant as well.

Overall, it was fun, challenging and above all else, educational. We also took a break in the middle of the day to make some Shabbat Challahs (that were delicious) and have Kabalat Shabbat.

Please enjoy the pics and the lovely video of our challah making skills...

The infamous hoop exercise. Little did we know we didn't even need that rope...

The Hoops!
Passin' the hoop through everyone..

Our lil' Challahs! Mmmm.

After our intense afternoon of team building activities, we went back to our host family's homes for an afternoon of rest and Shabbat dinner. It was a great evening filled with friends and amazing food in Israel. That evening, many of us got together to hangout. It was an amazing first full day in Israel and I know everyone is excited and more than ready for the coming days.
